FAQs

  • Yes, all of our dogs are kennel club registered! French Bulldogs are registered to the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC).

  • At Remedy Kennels, we prioritize the health of our breeding dogs and puppies by conducting comprehensive genetic screening through trusted providers like Embark, UCDavis, and Paw Print Genetics. Additionally, we are striving to have all of our breeding dogs undergo a series of physiological testing as laid out by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA), the following is a list of these tests:

    • Hip Evaluation

    • Elbow Dysplasia

    • Spinal Evaluation

    • Cardiac Evaluation

    • Tracheal Hypoplasia

    • Autoimmune Thyroiditis

    • Annual Eye Examinations

    • Evaluation of Patellar Luxation

To learn more about the OFA testing process, please visit their website at ofa.org. Additionally, you can view the specific OFA test results for each of our dogs who have completed the testing by clicking on the "OFA Tested" hyperlink below their profile on the Our Dogs page.

  • Remedy Kennels offers a rewarding guardian home program where we provide French Bulldogs for a significantly reduced rate to potential owners who meet our criteria. In exchange, the potential owner agrees to care for the dog and allow the breeder to use the dog for breeding purposes.

Our program allows dogs to live in a loving home environment, which can lead to a happier and healthier dog, and potential owners can experience owning a purebred French Bulldog without the high costs. To join our program, select "guardian home" on our waitlist form.

Please note: you must reside within a 100 km radius of Petawawa, ON, Canada.

  • French Bulldogs exhibit a diverse range of coats and colors, and their variations have expanded notably in recent years, largely owing to recessive genetic traits. It's important to note that a dog's color doesn't dictate its health, and our focus squarely remains on the well-being of our French Bulldogs.

In our breeding program, we prioritize exceptional health genetics above all else. While we do have a selection of dogs displaying various colours, these individuals were specifically chosen for their outstanding health attributes. The diversity in colour simply reflects the breadth of our program rather than being a primary consideration.

  • You can contact us by filling out the contact form on our website, emailing us directly, or sending us a message on our social media pages.
